How to choose a lens colour

Start with one question: do you want people to notice the colour, or just see brighter eyes?

Lens colour on dark brown eyes

Most people in Pakistan have dark brown or black eyes. A tinted lens blends with the dark iris underneath, so lighter and brighter shades show more than very dark ones. If you want the colour to read clearly, look at the Bella Glow and Bella Diamond lines, or the opaque solid-tone Comfort Hidrocor lenses. Honey, hazel and grey-brown shades give a softer result.

Lens colour by skin tone

  • Fair skin: cool shades such as grey, blue and green stand out well. Honey and hazel give a warmer, softer look.
  • Wheatish skin: hazel, honey, olive, grey-brown and green all sit well. Grey is a good pick if you want a cooler contrast.
  • Dusky skin: warm shades like honey, caramel, hazel and brown look rich. Grey and green work too if you want a stronger change.

These are starting points, not rules. If you are unsure, send us a photo on WhatsApp at +92 3200704520 and we will help you choose.

Lens colour by occasion

  • Every day, college, office: hazel, honey, light brown and soft grey. They look like your own eyes, only brighter.
  • Parties and events: grey, green, blue or violet. These show clearly in photos and in evening light.
  • Weddings: a shade that works with your outfit and makeup. See our bridal lens shades.

If you are buying your first pair, a natural shade is the easiest start. You can always go bolder next time.

Lens colour names explained

Shade names are not a standard. Brands use them loosely, so here is how we read them.

  • Hazel is a light brown that shows green or gold in different light. Honey is warmer and more golden, with less green. Light brown is the plainest of the three.
  • Grey is a true grey. Grey Green is grey with a green cast. Mint Grey and Grey Olive sit in between. See grey green lenses.
  • Aqua leans green-blue, Sky Blue is lighter and cleaner, and Navy or Midnight blues are deep.
  • Olive is a muted yellow-green, softer than emerald or jade. See olive green lenses.

With or without power

Every shade can be ordered plano (no power) or with power from Plano to −8.00 in 0.25 steps, set separately for the Right and Left Eye on the product page. See eyesight lenses with power and the Eye Power Guide.
